Stresses in my life...

Don't you hate it when everything seems to pile up all at once? And when you finally get something accomplished and want to celebrate you only realize it was barely a drop in the bucket compared to all you have to do. You can celebrate all of 5 seconds and then move onto the next project.

This is how I've felt a lot lately. Student Teaching has gotten me down. I seem to be stressed all the time. I don't have a social life. If I do hang out with friends I feel as though I get even farther behind. But I've gotten to the point lately where I don't even feel like doing this junk anymore. I miss my old happy free-spirited life. I don't like this so called "adulthood". It stinks! I don't like all this pressure and stress. I just don't feel like I've been myself for weeks. I can't wait until I can relax and have fun again. I'll be glad when I don't have to plan several weeks in advance, type of 3 page lesson plans all the time, study (bc as it turns out I never really learned the stuff I have to teach now), go to bed early, get up crazy early, etc. I feel like I've been in a fog. I smiled the other night and my bf said "I think that's the first time you have smiled in weeks." While that's not completely true its pretty durn close.

I just want to say I'm sorry to all my friends you have been through student teaching. I'm sorry I never understood why ya'll were so stressed out and not yourselves. ST puts a huge strain on all facets of your life. It often makes you depressed and you don't feel like doing anything. I'm sorry if I put anymore stress in your lives....this is an experience you can't truly understand until you go through it...so to my friends I'm sorry...I can't wait to see the other side of this stressful situation!!! Only 3 months left!!! (and only 2 of those months are Student teaching!!!) yay!!!!

The one thing I really miss is not having someone around all the time thats been through what I'm going through. Sometimes its good to vent to someone who's been there. While I can vent to other they can't truly understand. I really miss having my close friends here who have gone through this.....

This week...

Well this week was my first week of student teaching. I had staff development monday, tuesday, and wednesday. School started yesterday. Well lets just say yesterday was a long difficult day. The premade seating arrangement did not work at all in one part of the room. The back group had talking problems all day long. So today we seperated 'em all out and things were a lot better. There were still some problems but way less than yesterday.

Next week I'm still at 0% but the following week I take up 20% which she figured out to be morning work (lunch choices, attendance, calendar time, etc) and morning explorations (science and/or social studies activities that go along with the later science and social studies activities. The next week I'll do the same and then add another subject and being in charge of them during recess. The following week I continue to add more stuff....so yea it's gonna be a long semester.

The thing I don't really like is I don't feel like I actually live on campus anymore. I only went to dinner one night in the cafeteria this week. I feel like I haven't really seen anybody this week. I barely get to see my roomates, I have to get up really early, and don't get home till after 5 in the afternoon. Then I only get to hang out a few hours then I have to head to bed or I'll be dead tired the next day. I really haven't gotten to hang out with many of my other friends either. Most of them have been really busy and I haven't seen them in a few weeks. I miss just relaxing and hanging out with them. I guess this all is just a sign of moving into the real world. I mean my semester hasn't even really gotten started yet. It's only going to get more stressful.

Well me and a bunch of friends are heading to spartanburg tomorrow morning to help jaime and william do some work in their house they are remodeling. Then we're heading back here to SWU tomorrow afternoon. I really need to get some stuff done and do some studying for my Praxis II test I have to take in just a couple of weeks.

I'll be glad when I actually get into a daily routine in the classroom and feel as though I know what is going on and what will happen next. I will be glad when we can get our class under control and they actually listen. I'll be glad when I have several big projects behind me and can just enjoy being in the classroom.

I had a pretty good birthday yesterday. I had several friends wish me a great day and I really appreciate it. I had to go to school all day but then the roomies through me a little surprise bday party. Then of course i had to go to bed again.

I feel old! All of my friends are either getting married, getting engaged, having kids, in serious relationships, have full-time jobs, or are moving far away. It's scary. Everyone around me is entering the "Real World". I know I am next. It all sort of freaks me out. I thought I was ready for the real world but what if I'm not? I'm not sure if I'm ready to be a teacher in a few months, I'm not sure if I can handle all that pressure, stress, and everything. I have seen what this new pressure has done to people. I have seen it confuse them to the point where they have no clue what they want in life and ending up throwing everything away in search of "something".

My recent relationship change has thrown me for a whirlwind too.. I went from being 100% sure I had found my match to not knowing anything. I thought I knew everything about this person but I ended up realizing I was only fooling myself. Now I'm worried that I will miss it when my true one comes along. How will I ever trust myself to fall for another and believe that he is the one meant only for me? How will I convince myself that it is real and not another "Illusion of the heart". How will I ever trust myself to fully love again? How will I convince myself to give all of me to "him"? Won't I be afraid he will leave too?

I'm ready to find that one...that one made only for me. The one who will be a daily encourager. The one who will tell me whats on his mind no matter if it hurts at the moment. The one who will make me feel special and loved and safe and happy. The one who will be a protector. The one who won't mind playing around and having fun but also know how to be serious and tell me whats on his mind. The one who will love me no matter what life throws our way. My life has taken many different twisted paths.. I thought you were my destination yet you turned out to be only a detour on my broken road... Now I have to patiently wait for God to lead my broken road to My One True Soul Mate... ~*~*Patiently Waiting~*~*

I can't believe it's been almost 2 years since I've posted! I kinda forgot about this thing but I'm bored and we know where boredom leads..lol... Now where to start... A lot has happened in two years... hmmmm I'll make a list:

Well Fall Break is officially over...that completely stinks. I am definitely not ready to get back to work. I enjoy sleeping in and staying up really late way too much. Well I'm back at SWU. I've had a hectic day. I went to pick Tim up from the airport and we got our wires crosses; we'll definitely have to talk about things next time. well I thought i was just picking tim up outside and he thought i was parking and then coming in. well i waited outside for 45 mins while he waited inside. so after i went inside i found him sleeping on a bench. so that just started the afternoon off sorta bad. i'm better now. We always seem to have airport issues. when he picked me up in Milwaukee over the summer he was upstairs at the terminal waiting and somehow we missed each other and i went outside and looked for him and he was upstairs...we just gotta start communicating out airplane issues. Oh well...enough ranting about that....

well after the airport we went to my family reunion for a few minutes and then over to my grandmas. After that we headed back here to SWU. We just hung around my room and ate some supper my Mom sent with us. Now Tim's workin on hw and I'm just playin on the net as usual. well thats enough blog for tonight. cya

Well Fall Break is almost over and I don't feel as though I've accomplished anything. My Mom and I have been trying to sort through my once room now storage area...lol... so much happens after going to college...haha... So our living room looks like a tornado hit it...oh well.

Well I get to see Tim tomorrow. He's really enjoyed being home with his family but he's also looking forward to being back at SWU. I'm picking him up at the airport around noon tomorrow. I figure i'll go to Sunday School and then leave and go pick him up. We're having the Lowe family reunion tomorrow. All we really do is sit around eat and talk... oh well it should still be fun. Tim is looking forward to meeting some more of my family. He's amazed at how many people I'm related to that live close by...I mean c'mon its the South....lol. We'll meet someone and I'll be like yeah this is my 2nd cousin....and oh this is my 3rd cousin on my Dads side...It's quite hilarious.

I'm not really ready to get back to work. I love sleeping in and being lazy. Me and 8 o'clock classes don't get along...lol. Well tonight the young adults from my church are hanging out. we're gonna go get something to eat and then prolly watch a movie. it should be fun. I never get to hang out with these guys anymore and i really miss it. I'm looking forward to it. Well I prolly need to get back to de-tornadofying our living room. It's Fall Break!! woo hoo!! I am so glad. The sad thing is I have soooo much due next week. It's crazy. Why do teachers have to have everything due the monday after break is over??? C'mon.... AHHHHH!!! oh well i'll quit gripping about that...but if anyone has any good ideas for some easy lesson plans just let me know...lol.

Well I haven't done much over break so far. I started my break off sick though. I was sick all day friday and didn't leave my apartment the entire day. I felt better saturday and I have been gradually getting better. I feel a ton better now. Thanks for the prayers.

Well Tim is in Wisconsin visting his family. He really misses them and I am glad he is able to go visit them. I just miss him. We never seem to have time just to be together. During the week we have a ton to do so I usually only see him at dinner or at night right before I go to bed. I just wish we had more time just to relax and be together. Oh well..I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving Break...hopefully we'll have time to just chill then... only a month a half away...

Well my goal for this fall break is to get at least 2 lesson plans fully done. I am also looking for a car; my poor little car is on its last leg...

Hey guys!! Man I haven't posted in a very long time!! It's been like 5 months!! Well let's see...
It's May and school is out. I did great in my classes this semester!! Woo Hoo... Well I'm staying on campus this summer and working for the Adult and Graduate Program office and Academic Records. They're boring at times, but it's okay. It's money and I need it! I'm trying to earn enough money to get a new car. My car in an 88 and it's about to die!! Well not much has been going on around campus. People have classes so nobody is really around until after 4 or so. Today I came in and some people had a little kiddy pool and waterguns. It was funny. They were all soaked.
Well Tim (my boyfriend) has gone home for the summer. He's working at a petstore and a pizza place. So he's pretty busy. I'm not sure whether or not I'm gonna get to see him or not. I hope to. Maybe sometime in late June or so I can do a weekend trip and go up to Wisconsin. I really really hope so!!! I really really miss him!!

Well this semester is finally winding down. I had my last final today.... Woo Hoo. I have to stay here until saturday though because the wind ensemble is playing graduation. But hey I get to spend a few more days with my sweetie before he goes back to wisconsin!! I'm really going to miss him, but thankfully it is only for a month.

I am so glad this week is finally over... so thankfully I have a few days to relax until another long week begins. I definitely have a lot of homework to get done this weekend. I have to read an article for my Marriage and Family seminar, work on an english and a Basic Christian Beleifs study guide, do a ton of math homework that I'm behind on, start on my Early Childhood portfolio, and hopefully after all that I can spend some quality time with my sweetie Tim.
Tonight I am going over to the Rosenbergers for their Friday night bible study. I haven't been to one yet this semester so it should be great!! Well I think I should go clean up my room...it looks like a tornado went through... AHHHHHHH.... It's a twister, it's a twister!! Aunty Em, Aunty Em!!!

It's been foggy and rainy all day. I've had classes all day but hopefully tonight I'll get a chance to relax. The Apt G guys and Russ are having a contest to see who can grow a beard the fastest between now and Thanksgiving Break. They all shaved tonight around 11 as close as they could. I'm still not sure on what the guidelines are for this little contest are. The contestants as of now are: Tim Smith, Harold Bumby III, Matt Bentley, and Russ Pervis. They may be more joining in soon...I'll keep the lastest information up to date on here!!

I've had so much homework to do lately.... It's starting to become overwhelming. I never seem to have time to just sit down and chill. I always have to be somewhere doing something... It's so frustrating. I hardly get to just hang out with my friends during the week. Sure I get to see them on the weekend, but it's just not the same. I miss not being able to just sit and talk with Tim (my boyfriend). I miss Jaime and My weird random nights where we just stay up being goofy. We never get to do that anymore :( I just wish I had more time to just Relax!!! There are only 30 more school days left of this semester. I can't wait!!! I mean I do enjoy being here at SWU I just wish I could have fun more often....
